Amy Athey, PsyD, CMPC

Dr. Amy Athey is a licensed psychologist and national leader in sport and performance psychology, crisis intervention, sleep, wellness, and developing nontraditional mental health, wellness and high performance programs. She has over 20 years of experience working with elite performers in sport, business, and the military.
Dr. Athey previously served as Chief Wellness Officer at the University of Arizona and has served as a consultant for Olympians, professional athletes, business executives, and U.S. Naval Special Warfare. She was also the sport psychologist for the 2012 Rose Bowl Championship Football Team.
With over 100 professional publications and presentations, Dr. Athey is often requested to speak at development events and programs. She served as the former Chair of the inaugural PAC-12 Mental Health Task Force, leading to the approval of the NCAA’s first ever mental health legislation. More recently, she co-authored Leading Beyond Crisis: The Five Pillars of Transformative Resilient Leadership and co-edited Sleep and Sport.
Dr. Athey earned her doctorate from Loyola University Maryland and her Bachelor of Business Administration from Roanoke College, where she was an All-American basketball player and inducted into the Roanoke College Athletics Hall of Fame.
Mike Burns

Michael “Mike” Burns is a seasoned executive, coach, and former army officer with over 30 years of experience in strategic leadership, diversity, equity, and inclusion, self-assessment, culture-shifting, and organizational behavior. Prior to The Burns Brothers, Mike served as the chief diversity officer of Conduent, a $5 billion technology-focused services business. Before Conduent, Mike led global diversity at Citigroup, one of the world’s largest banks.
Mike joined corporate America after serving 13 years in the US Army, initially as a helicopter pilot and civil-military advisor with the 101st Airborne. He concluded his military career as the head of diversity, recruitment, and enrollment for the United States Military Academy at West Point. Mike attained an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Business Management and Leadership from Webster University, a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point and earned executive coaching certifications from Columbia University.
